Our borehole at Morfa Bychan is used to supply drinking water to our customers in the area. Routine monitoring at the borehole shows water quality is affected by activities on land in the catchment. We often experience incidents of high nutrients which we believe could be from agricultural activity such as dirty water run-off from fields or yards. This requires extra treatment in order to maintain high drinking water standard for our customers.
If you farm within the area we need your help to understand the water quality risks in the catchment and what can be done to reduce them.
Working with ADAS, independent farm advisors, we are offering FREE FARM HEALTH CHECK to all farmers in the catchment area. Advice provided can include:
