This guidance document lists the key steps that building managers and others will need to take to reduce the risk associated with drinking water that has been standing in pipework. It is not an exhaustive list and cannot address building specific risks or issues. Therefore, we strongly recommend that the WaterUK Briefing Note is referred to as it contains links to useful guidance and documents issued by regulators and others including specialist organisations that address the issue of legionella in hot and cold water services.
