Boil Water Notice!

This Boil Water Notice affects customers living in the following areas:

Blaenrhondda, Blaencwm, Tynewydd, Treherbert, Treorchy, Cwm-parc, Pentre, Ton Pentre, Gelli, Tonypandy

During the course of routine daily checks we make on water quality, we identified an issue with quality of water at Tynywaun water treatment works.

As a precaution whilst we investigate further, we have issued a boil notice to customers served by this works.

This comes following heavy rain in the affected areas over the last 24 hours as a result of Storm Bert.

All customers in these areas are advised to boil their water with immediate effect before using it for drinking or cooking purposes.

We appreciate the inconvenience of boiling water, but hope customers understand the reason for us taking this necessary step. Our teams will continue to work round the clock to investigate the cause.
